Diana S. Ponce-Gomez
Diana has an extensive legal background with several years of experience in commercial real estate secured transactions, corporate matters, real property, bankruptcy, civil litigation and appeals.
Diana started her career with the law firm of Arnold & Porter, LLP as an Associate in the Civil Litigation Department. While at Arnold & Porter, Diana was honored to hear the oral argument on a First Amendment case she helped prepare an amicus brief for before the United States Supreme Court.
During her career, Diana has handled a wide variety of litigation matters on behalf of corporations, including piracy, products liability, breach of contract, conversion, eminent domain, state and federal debt collection practices, class actions and multidistrict litigation.
Diana also has significant experience handling real property and corporate matters. Diana served as in-house counsel to a real estate investment company, where she managed commercial and residential leasing, the purchase and sale of real property, the formation and management of several business structures, and construction projects.
Diana also has extensive experience with commercial lending, including acquisition, construction, leasehold and permanent financing.
Her litigation background combined with her transactional experience gives Diana a unique set of skills to effectively advise her clients.
Diana is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central District, Eastern District, Northern District, and Southern District of California. She is a member of the California Lawyers Association, Real Property Law Section.
Diana graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, cum laude, from UCLA. She received her Juris Doctorate from UCLA Law School, where she was a member of the Student Bar Association and actively involved in the school’s admissions process.
Diana is a big believer in giving back to her community, and as a result, she has dedicated many years to community service. Born and raised in Santa Paula, Diana returned to Santa Paula and proudly served four years as a Board Member of the Santa Paula Union High School District (including one term as President) and four years as a Board Member of the Santa Paula Unified School District (including one term as President) where she helped oversee the unification of the former Santa Paula Union High School District and Santa Paula Elementary School District. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Paula Education Foundation for ten years. Diana was also a coach for the Santa Paula High School Mock Trial Team.
Diana is an avid runner (especially at the beach), regularly participates in 5K and 10K races (and once completed a half-marathon), likes reading, cooking and baking, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She raised her three children in Santa Paula, where she still resides.
